British Airways has up to 55 daily US & Canada flights
British Airways leads European carriers in US/Canada flights, planning up to 55 daily departures from London in summer 2025, peaking on eight Saturdays
Recently, British Airways has been recorded for more US/Canada flights than any other popular European carrier. Typically, North American operators showcase their rank fourth, which is behind United Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and American Airlines.
British Airways further planned up to 55 daily departures to the US/Canada from London Heathrow and London Gatwick in 2025 summers. Apparently, this slowdown the demand the frequency last seen Sept 2019, Boeing 747-400.
The Cirium Diio data shared for every planned service shows British Airways 55 take-offs would proceed on eight Saturdays over the absolute peak summer: July 12, 19, 26, and August 2,9,16,23, and 30. In the coming months, US/Canada fleets will account for more British Airways long-haul operations.
BA has 31 US & Canada routes during the summer
British Airways showcases a 31-strong network comprising 26 Heathrow and five Gatwick routes. The Dallas flights were lastly operated on March 29 and will continue to return in October, 26-including coordinating schedules.
British Airways' primary equipment would be over 777-200ER. In fact, some departures (around 38%) will be made on it. Its so-called Gatwick configuration with 336 seats would be included in the layout, making it more convenient for economy and business passengers. BA's 777-200ER use has risen as the advantage of 18 daily take-offs till mid-2024 (July month), progressing to 20 a year later.
How BA's US & Canada flights have changed
Comparing Cirium Diio with British Airways' July 2025 network, July 2024 shows various changes than Dallas. Apart from this, Austin fleet take-offs have grown from daily to 13 weekly, New York JKF with exclusive eight daily flights from Heathrow and Washington Dulles-from double to triple daily.
July 2024, London-Vancouver will have three daily BA departures; because Heathrow flights raised its take-off to twice daily. Apart from it, Houston has grown ensures on eight weekly flights last year to double daily. The countability of flights in Pittsburgh will be followed daily up from six weekly.
San diego flights have fallen from double daily
For years, British Airways was the southern California city daily, but for the first time, it changed to twice daily every day in 2024. It carried 74,200 round trip passengers in Q3 2024 (between July to September), filled with 86% of seats-report to the US Department of Transportation. Comparing it to July 2019, traffic rose by 62% & load factor remained the same.
So far, Heathrow to San Diego fleet take-off time has fallen to 13 weekly. British Airways wasn’t more or less happy with San Diego's performance. Although a slight reduction in service will let airline companies further help in pricing, yields, and loads. This is going to be an exciting change in 2026.
